Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 July 2026

Charged Leads (“Charged Leads”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information we collect and handle. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your choices. It applies to our websites, our lead-capture forms (including Facebook and Instagram lead ads), and our services. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are and what we do

Charged Leads generates enquiries from people interested in home EV charger installation and connects them with licensed electricians and installers. We run quote-request funnels and advertising (including Meta/Facebook and Instagram lead forms) to collect these enquiries, and we provide our electrician clients with those leads and a client dashboard.

Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Homeowners / quote requesters (leads):

  • Name, email address and phone number
  • Location (suburb, state, postcode)
  • Whether you own or are getting an EV, and vehicle details
  • Details about your property and charging needs, and anything else you enter in our forms

Electrician / installer clients:

  • Business name and contact name
  • Email address, phone number and service area/state
  • Account, billing and payment-related information

Collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, and how you interact with our sites (including via cookies and similar technologies)

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form on our websites or a Facebook/Instagram lead ad, when you contact us, and when you use our client dashboard. We also collect technical data automatically through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use your information

  • To connect homeowner enquiries with suitable licensed electricians/installers
  • To deliver leads and services to our electrician clients
  • To create and manage client accounts, dashboards and billing
  • To respond to enquiries and provide support
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve our services
  • To send service and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out at any time)
  • To meet our legal obligations

How we share your information

  • With electricians/installers: if you request a quote, your enquiry details (such as name, contact details, location and charging needs) are provided to the electrician(s) your lead is matched or sold to, so they can contact you with a quote.
  • With service providers: we use trusted third parties to run our business, including payment processing (Stripe), website hosting, email and SMS delivery, and analytics. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
  • For legal reasons: where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Charged Leads or others.

We do not sell your personal information for third-party advertising. Our business is connecting homeowner enquiries with electricians as described above.

Facebook and Instagram lead ads

When you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, Meta shares the information you provide with us so we can process your enquiry. Meta’s own handling of your data is governed by Meta’s Privacy Policy.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here, to run our business, and to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encryption and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to delete it. You can opt out of marketing at any time via the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. To make a request, use the contact details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect how the site works.

Third-party links

Our sites may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the “Last updated” date above.
